Review:
Of course, this film has been a ton of hype and what film can live up to all this .... yada yada yada. Even allowing that this film is a bit of dissapointment. This film proves that he is not just special FX, which made Star Wars fun to watch. If George Lucas was so excited about what he can do with CGI effects, he forgot what made the original trilogy so much that is , written and signs. Its not a bad movie, but the problems are many.-many people have forgiven this lackluster movie that, as they say, is only a another, as the first in the trilogy and it is only by creating everything to follow. WRONG WRONG wrong, this movie is supposed to be his film in the first place as were three other films. It is necessary to have good characters and some interesting stories .... It didnt.-conflict story revolves around a commercial dispute and the fate of the planet Naboo. Does anyone really care about this? Details of the dispute are somewhat vague, and what is revealed is not really enough to generate interest in ot , r root for a particular site. Most importantly in terms of conflict Darth Sideous and its growth is kept far away in the background. We do not know why Darth Maul Jedis hates so much .... he just does it. Darth Maul Lucas probably wanted to be a bit like Boba Fett (silent and mysterious). He has worked with Boba Fett, because he was only a supporting character, not the main villain. This movie is really no clear villain. I wish someone would have the courage and Lucas just said that his story is basic-lousy. Nobody seemed particularly happy in this movie. Qui-Gon is really the only character that can be connected even if it is quite remote. Queen acts as a mannequin in most scenes it (and appears as one of). Obi-Wan Kenobi wander through the film, to no avail, and never say anything interesting. The characters never seem to talk about anything but the plot (unlike the first film). C3PO and R2-D2 were quite meaningless. Jedi Council comes across as very cold and buracratic. I will never understand why they wrote as a child Annakin school class in this movie. It must have been a teenager. His scenes are uncomfortable with the queen. There were even going to discuss other things Jar.Various Jarre ... midochlorians-work seems just been tacked. Humor falls flat, if they are very small child. Annakin merchant ship destroyed at the end and all safves primarily by mistake! ILM and George Lucas seems to be so happy with their new toys CGI that they spent 95% of their time to improve them. Honestly I thought the Jedi FX returns are sharper, more dimensional and less comic. Nothing all that memorable seem to happen here. This film will not be as good as the hype, but it could easily be much better than this. I waited so long for this movie, but I first saw this movie I actually got bored between it.There are good moments. Pod race was fun, as was the light saber battle at the end. There are some very good effects on all special. Hopefully Lucas just had writers block when he wrote this. Maybe he will remember what they did other films as well in time for Episode II. Even though it seems to have already failed its title.
