Big science fiction films are all the rage this year (oblivion, Elysium, Pacific Rim ...), and finally gravity is one worth watching. On the trailer, I had no idea what to expect. George Clooney and Sandra Bullock floating in space about two hours eventually became my best guess. I rushed movie at the Toronto International Film Festival, and if someone said to show in 3D, I was half tempted to leave the line. I hate 3D movies, give me headaches terrible, and I dont see the point. Once Gravity started, I changed my mind. The 3D definitely adds something to the film. The opening shot of land and space is absolutely beautiful. The film opens fast enough. Sandra Bullock and George Clooney are both out doing repairs on spaceship, Houston alert when the Russians blew their satellite and accidentally destroys other friends there. Debris comes their way and they should get back to the ground as soon as possible. Of course, the trailer, we see that the building is not his, and free space have to find another way home. George Clooney George Clooney is essentially playing space suit (ridiculously self-loving character and is often played by Robert Downey Jr.) and Sandra Bullock plays a doctor who was trained for this mission only a few months. George gets very little screen time, but Sandra shine throughout the film. Despite doing their best, I'd say that quite a lot of action in the film. It's just there, and you feel that you too. The film takes you into space, and feels claustrophobic there. It keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. During the film, see Sandra character is also growing. Not only is she trying to get back home, but she found the will to do it well. The film is a visual masterpiece. Yes, of course there CGI (basically everything you see on the screen is fake) a lot, but never felt like this. For once, the 3D definitely adds something to the experience. You get the depth of field, you need to really experience the movie through and feel like you are right Sandra. It gives an absolutely amazing performance work at all, but always in the right place. If you can see theaters Gravity, go for it, especially if you see it in 3D (even if you usually hate 3D, trust me, it's worth it.) Alfonso Cuar? N has outdone herself with this film is a must see Sci-Fi fans.
