Review:
Ice Age: Continental drift is the fourth installment of the Ice Age series, which began early Fox, when they tried their hand at animation again after Titan AE became a box office bomb. The series follows a group of quite different prehistoric animals and a plot that follows has been hitherto formulas to go from point A to B story.As the title suggests, Ice Age 4s plot revolves around the division of the continent. The herd is separated, and while the original trio goes on an adventure abroad, half opossum, half huge family tries to get to the rock bridge to meet up. Animated movies are fantastic (it's hard to say mainstream animated movie has awesome CGI) and backgrounds, and water effects are nice, but stories movies too fast and has too many characters for them to develop, while the film takes. If the number is too formulas, which is the attraction of this film? For anyone who has seen the series will be happy to know Diego meets a female saber tooth path and Sid is met with his family twice. Among the new characters crew pirates who capture the trio, and they explore the ocean and became the primary antagonists of the film.The film is overall quite worth it to watch with your family, but not the third (which I like many) had better paced story. New characters, in my opinion, does not really show a lot of personality traits, as well as Granny Sloth, but it is quite nice flick I've seen several times theaters.The 3D, by the way, is not really worth and the film does not use it correctly. There were some moments when looked at the characters and you almost gave me a head ache. If you take your family to see the film do not waste your money on 3D.
