Of course, this film was a ton of hype, and the film could live up to all of that .... Yada yada yada. Even allowing for that, this film is really disappointing. The film proves that it was not just the special effects that made Star Wars fun to watch. It seemed as if George Lucas enjoys so, what can be done with CGI effects, he forgot what made the original trilogy so great, who has been writing and characters. It's not a bad film, but the problem many.-Many people will be forgiven for this movie is lackluster, as it is only the first trilogy, and this is just one set all follow. WRONG WRONG WRONG, this film is the film itself to be above all the other three movies were. It was necessary to have good characters and the story is somewhat interesting .... It didnt.-conflict revolves around the story of a taboo trade dispute and the fate of the planet. Does anyone really care about this? The details of the dispute are somewhat vague, and that is shown is not really generate enough interest that we remove half especially. Great Darth Sideous conflict and its success kept very far away in the background. We dont even know why Darth maul casáuy Jedis so much .... he just does. Lucas's Darth maul can be quite similar to Boba Fett (quiet and mysterious). He works Boba Fett, because he was just a supporting character, not the main Villian. In fact, there is no clear Villian film. I wish someone would have had the courage and simply told Lucas that his main story lousy.-one looks especially happy in this film. Qui-Gon is really the only character that can be related to, and even a bit much. Queen acted as model for many of his scenes (and looks like one). Obi-Kenobi weak wander in vain through the whole movie and never say anything interesting. The characters do not seem to talk about anything wahâny plot (unlike the first film). C3PO and R2-D2 was pretty useless. Jedi Council acts very cold and buracratic. And I do not understand why they write Annakin elementary school kid in this movie. He should have been a teenager. His queen of awkward scenes. It was not even going to discuss the Jar Jar.Various other things ... midochlorians thing, it seems to have been added. Humor falls flat if you have a very small child. Annakin destroyed a cargo ship at the end of safves everyone, basically by accident! George Lucas and ILM seems to be so happy with their new toys CGI spent 95% of their time to improve them. In fact, I thought the FX Return of the Jedi clearer, dimensions and less cartoonish. Nothing all that memorable seem to happen here. This movie was not as good as the hype, but it could easily have been a lot better than this. I waited so long for this movie, but the first time I saw this movie I was bored in the middle of it.There really good time there. Pod race was fun, it was like a light saber battle at the end. There are some very nice special effects throughout. Hopefully Lucas just had writers block when he wrote it. It may be recalled that the second time as well as the films Episode II. Although he seems to have failed already in the title.
