Review:
I remember fondly, Henry Fonda and Raymond Massey as the Lincolns on young Mr.Lincoln and Abe Lincoln in Illinois give incredible performances. But, here and now, in this extraordinary Steven Spielberg / Tony Kushner version, the illusion is complete. I watched the president, and not a moment to think about the actor. That in itself is close to unique. I left the theater with a feeling I've just had the experience of the body. All around performance center - and I call it performance because I do not know what else to call it - to fall into place in a miraculous way. Photography, set design, wardrobe enabled indeed smell period. Congratulations and thank you.
